Your first selling and filtering system
An adult webmaster resource...
Written by Tom from Tom's Newbie Booster
One of the problems for new adult webmasters is making money. I want to describe a free site today which should make your job of making money much easier. It's ideal for new people and those who've been doing this a while but have yet to see great sales. If you're wondering what's the best way to make money from your traffic starting out - read this. You won't even need masses of traffic to see results.
Nothing new - just something that works.
This is going to be a site which is direct, simple, and one that contains NO free content. It doesn't rely on link lists or search engines especially - (although that will be covered later). And it uses full page ads in different niches, and is fully expandable. There's a lot of freedom for you to do what you want with the page layouts.
The best ten bucks you'll ever spend.
Phase one is to buy a domain name for this project. Do not put it in an existing folder on one of your other domains. Get a new domain specifically for this project and do not put any other sites or pages on here. This is a very important site. Choose a 'generic' domain which is not specific to any one niche. Make it sound sexy and intriguing, and not stuffed with adult words for the heck of it. This article will help:
Choosing a generic domain name
For this article, let's assume we've bought pornowhack.com (which I just made up).
Niches and sub-folders
On the domain, create a sub folder for each niche. WAIT - there's more to it than that. When I say 'niche' in this case, I don't mean just something like "lesbians". That is not specialized enough. Go even further and have a sub-folder called "lesbian-movies" and another one for "lesbian-pictures" and so on. Your folders for might look something like this:
pornowhack.com/sexy-lesbians/
pornowhack.com/lesbian-movies/
pornowhack.com/lesbian-oral/
In each of those sub-folders there is one file only: index.html
Do not create a sub-folder called 'lesbians' and then put the lesbian niche folders within there. Keep it direct and simple (just like it is above).
The game plan
Before I talk more about the layout of the rest of this site, let describe the overall aim. For each major niche out there, "lesbians", "straight sex" and so on, you want to aim initially for around 4 sub-folders / categories for each niche. Each of these folders will have a page in there. This page, which I'll cover next, will be an ad for that niche. Each niche page will link intelligently to related niche pages.
What's on the page?
There's a lot of freedom here. This is ONE page and it's got to be 100% advert/s. Keep it simple and don't get tied up with trying to sell. A simple idea is to make a full page ad or download one from your sponsor. Use adverts that don't look like adverts. Have a MASSIVE text link into the paysite under the advert.
Each page can have it's own color scheme, or follow the one established on the index page.
Linking these niche pages together
Say you have 4 lesbian pages: lesbian page one should have a NEXT link to lesbian page 2. Each page should also link to all 3 other lesbian pages. There should also be a link to the DOMAIN NAME index.html page.
This is just the frame work. Is there something other than next or enter that would work? How can you make this original and your own?
Index page layout
A fake link list. Link to all of the specialist niche pages.
Have a small category for each major niche (eg. lesbian). Under that heading, list each specialist niche page (eg. "lesbian movies"). Don't put ads on this page - keep it 'clean'. Put my search engine script on this page. Fill that SE script with all pages on the domain as you create them.
Again - there's a world of opportunity here. How can you make this in YOUR style? Let it develop and evolve over time, as you add more pages.
Expanding
The beauty of this system is that it's fully expandable. It will take months to build up to a substantial level of pages (especially if you plan to make the FPAs yourself), and then be an on-going work after that. A sponsor brings out a new niche you like - make a page for that niche, and slot it in. Got a new AVS site? Work an ad page to that in.
When you add a new page in, make sure you link to it from the main page and from a related niche page (from one of the NEXT links, as well as listing it on related niche pages). If you do that correctly, it will get traffic to it straight away.
SSI
SSI is not useful on the main index page. If you can (and don't worry if you're not into SSI - this is just a time-saver) use SSI on the niche pages. The pages could look like this:
ADVERT & PAGE CONTENT
==============================
NEXT AND ENTER LINKS
==============================
SSI CALL TO OTHER LESBIAN PAGES
==============================
SSI CALL TO SE BOX
==============================
Traffic
Send general and 404 traffic to the index page. This is a filter page which will give surfers a massive range of choice (once the site has sufficient niche pages). Send any traffic where you're "unsure" about what they're into to this fake link list page.
Send niche specific traffic to the niche sub-folder pages. This can come from ANY of your sites or galleries. Send some or all of your traffic to these FPA pages. Optimize each page of this site for the SE's but don't get too tied up with that. Do not let the optimization interfere with the selling. That's what this is all about - making money.
A list of don'ts:
Don't have ANY free picture on this site - not one EVER.
Don't use banners or any other kind of ad graphics (other than FPAs).
Don't link to ANY other sites you have.
Don't make ads look like ads. If you're unsure - use FPAs from sponsors instead.
