Waking surfers up with a THEME.

I meant so post this yesterday but, in true adult webmaster fashion, never got around to it. I'm not talking about search engine themes here; I'm talking about general themes an adult free site or gallery - a way to tie them together and to make them something original - something that will stand out. There's a lot of really good websites and galleries around at the moment which follow a strong theme. It could be something as simple as this one - http://www.olderhotwomen.com/tgp-mature/thehun2/hun0108.htm - where the text and ads around the pics talks about the model and gives some stats on her, or it could be a full site based on any fantasy that you like.

Examples and ideas...

There's a world of possibilities that you can work with here. Let's look at some possible scenarios that we could work on to some of our pages:

1) A free site with a story. As someone mentioned on the board yesterday - using amateur pics to build a site around the theme of drunk college girls! Maybe you got your 2 female room mates to fool around late one night and... you get the picture!

2) For an AVS site, tell the surfer that you took some pics of your now ex-girlfriend, and have made a website to get some payback because she took your truck and your car.

3) Or you could make a TGP gallery about the girl at the office and how she wants to get into the porn business. Tell them the story of how you had to take the pics in one of the offices when no-one was there.

4) Maybe it's YOU in the gallery. You don't have to be female to talk to the surfer AS a girl. this is fantasy remember! I remember that I wrote one of my sites as a female model once and I still get emails from male surfers who want to do all manner of things to me. Just goes to show how POWERFUL that approach can be.

5) I just opened up my content collection here, and one of the first sets of pics I came to was of a girl on a hotel room bed, looking at a laptop. She's clothed in the beginning and then obviously gets butt naked fast. Here's my theme for that content: "Michelle sneaked out my laptop and begged me to show her some of my sites. I let her play while I tried to figure out my new camera. I thought she'd be shocked by them but to my surprise, she got really turned on..." And so on...

WHY bother?

The reason that using a theme - an idea that runs through a page or an entire site is that it makes your site just that little bit different. It makes your site unique to you. It also has the chance to wake the surfer up and to get them to take notice of what you're saying. Once you've got them hooked on what you're saying - you have a far better chance of getting their lazy asses off to a sponsor where they have at least a chance of making YOU some money. And like I mentioned earlier - if you can be convincing AS the girl in the pics - they'll follow you anywhere - right to the JOIN page.

What does your content dictate?

It might seem tough to come up with ideas and themes for your websites and galleries - but keep trying. One of the easiest ways to get a good idea going is to just LOOK at the content that's available to you. Whether you're working with bought content, pics you've taken yourself, or pics that your sponsor is providing you with, just take a good look at them and let your imagination run wild.

• Observe the location / clothing / props - anything there you can work from?
• WHO is in these pictures - ages, appearance, their look - could this be used?
• What happens in the sequence of pictures? Could this form a story?
• Are we indoors or outdoors?
• QUALITY - are these 'real' / amateur pics - or obviously staged?
(Often amateur pics are the easiest to come up with stories for...)

After a while - you'll find that even the most ordinary set of photos can be worked up into something that will grab the surfers just long enough for you to get their interest in what you're saying.

tying in with a sponsor

If you really want to see some impressive sales - then why not build a gallery or a free site for a themed sponsor. By that, I mean something where they create a fantasy or have a certain idea on their Paysite which you can take onto your pages. It could be an amateur site where you talk about a girl, by name, who then appears on the tour. Another good example is the bang bus site, where they film 'real' girls in the back of a bus they rent.

I've seen some galleries that feature the models by name and talk about the idea behind the bangbus. Gramma has a site called Vixen Vets - that could be worked up into some kind of theme on a site or gallery which could then lead to a matching Paysite. Just look carefully at what your sponsors have to offer and remember - they'll probably have some content from that Paysite you can work with.

OK some quick notes than I'm done:

On the tgp...

You've got a short time to get your theme across and to ultimately get them to a sponsor. Make your message CLEAR, and set the idea yup quickly. Use the pictures on the gallery to build excitement and interest in your theme and your sponsor's products. Use the theme to integrate your content perfectly with your sponsors. It shouldn't be a case of, "My model did this, that, and now here's some ads!" As the page goes down, build excitement and make the sponsor links look like a place where they can see more of the shoot / get more of whatever's here at any time.

On the free site...

You've got a lot more room here, but keep talking to the surfer - ESPECIALLY ON THE GALLERY PAGES! Every ad should be working towards the same goal here - building excitement and getting the surfer more and more involved in what you're saying and in your sponsors or your Paysite or AVS site.

And let's not forget one page wonders either. I've seen some great pages from MrsJustForFun here on TNB, and you can do the same with your work too. Even if you're making a page that's 100% ads, don't let that stop you from giving it a theme and tying it in to whatever money making link you want to send them to. A theme can make you some serious money.
