Thumbs in 60 seconds
An adult webmaster resource...
OK, today I thought we'd look at a step by step guide to creating thumbnail images quickly and painlessly. With all the tools out there at the minute, designed to do this task, no-one should have to suffer the pain of making their own thumbnail images by hand.
1) Meet your new best friend.
EasyThumbs
http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/
Download it, and install it by running setup.exe
2) OK, you're going to need 20 or so pictures for this. Create a folder on your hard disk and copy them there. We're going to make thumbnail (smaller) images for these larger images in BATCH - in a matter of seconds.
3) Start up EasyThumbs.
4) In the "Look In" window, navigate / browser to the folder where your pics are. Left mouse-click it so that the pictures all appear in the window below this one.
5) Click on the SETTINGS tab at the top of the program.
6) Set the MAX WIDTH to 120.
7) Set the MAX HEIGHT to 120.
8) Click on the FILES tab again.
9) Left mouse click on the FIRST picture file so that it becomes highlighted.
10) Press and hold SHIFT on the keyboard as you left mouse click the LAST image.
11) Click on MAKE ALL.
And that's all folks! Your new thumbnail images will appear in the same folder with a "tn_" before the file name. If will probably take you less than 60 seconds from when you start the software to shrinking and compressing the last thumbnail.
ENJOY!
