Anyone got some money to burn? Then there's a variety of juicy search engine schemes around at the moment - all ready and willing to take your hard-earned cash from ya! I thought it might be helpful to run through some of the SE's out there that you can pay to get into, and talk about some of my impressions of what the advantages and draw backs might be.

Pros:

Cons:
• Traffic not guaranteed - only your entry.
• Specialist search engine page optimization knowledge required.
• Highly competitive, your pages could drop down the rankings from day to day.

Cost: Minimum of 5 cents per click and at least $20 / month. Expect to pay around 10 cents for a good position on most phrases.
Pros:
• Fast, targeted traffic.
• No-content sites acceptable.
• Partnered with major search engines.
• Traffic guaranteed.
• Easy to see how much you must pay to rank in a certain position.
Cons:
• 3 - 5 days to get approval and inclusion on your phrases.
• Very strict, and frustrating rules.
• Below-par customer support.
• Traffic might not buy anything, you're left with a hefty bill.
• Poorly thought out rules and review system.

• Maximum daily budget setting puts your mind at rest.
• Excellent predicted costs and traffic report for each campaign.
Cons:
• NOT adult webmaster-friendly - most adult terms are not allowed.
• Ads that do not generate a certain clickthrough are deleted.
• Lower-costing-click ads are likely to perform poorly.
• Poor keyword suggestion tool.
• Some heavy competition on popular phrases.

• Arguably the best source of traffic on the web.
• Daily, reliable traffic.
• Improved link popularity on whichever page you get listed.
• Adult friendly - special sections for adult sites.
Cons:
• Heavy outlay on the initial $600.
• Recurring annual fee of $600.
• Not guaranteed a listing - only a review.
• Adult sites are penalized (non-adult sites are half the price to get listed).
