Here's something which might help folks who have made a couple of sites, found how to make them the right way, and are looking to go into overdrive.

OK, here's a major project for anyone to undertake. We're going to make 100 adult websites. They will all live (in this case) on one domain. This might sound like a lot, but the sites we're going to make here are going to be content-rich - lots of good text on 'em and plenty of pics too. The SE's are going to love us for this project. It will take one or two weeks to complete.

STEP 1) PLANNING.

You can save yourself heart ache later by getting this stage right.

• What is the general niche here? Lesbian? Amateur? All 100 sites will be in the same niche.
• Pick a PHRASE for each page - use Goto / Overture for this step.
• Create a 2 / 3 word folder name for each site eg 'free-amateur-pics' - which matches the phrase.

STEP 2) THE PICTURES

This step is going to involve some choice. Each site is going to have 10 pictures on it - but it's up to you whether you give them 10 different pics on each site, the SAME 10 pics on each site - or just some different pics on each site. For this example, I'm going to assume we've got 200 pictures from somewhere - either a mix of bought content and sponsor content (or all bought content.

1) Rename the pics 001.jpg up to 200.jpg using this tool:

2) Crop and resize any images that need to be altered.
(MAX length of longest side - 450 pixels).

3) Batch compress them with whichever tool you like:
http://www.xat.com/io/ will do the job and it's free.

*** .htaccess MUST be in place here.

STEP 3) THE THUMBS

Use a free tool to batch create your thumbnail images. If this step takes any longer than under 60 seconds, you've done something wrong. Give me a shout if you have problems on this and I'll help you get your thumbs made FAST. Generate the thumbs in a folder in pictures2/ called thumbs/ and name them the same.

*** When you've got the thumbs created, start the pics & thumbs uploading. They'll take some time. Upload them in your root domain's folder - pictures2/ or something else that has not been used yet. EG: http://www.yourdomain.com/pictures2/ - we'll be linking to that later on...

STEP 4) THE HTML TEMPLATE

This is where you're going to have to dig into your knowledge of what you've found that works so far. You're going to create an index page, full page ad page, main page, and then 10 picture pages. that's 13 pages per site - 1300 pages total. That's the only guidelines you have here. Other than that - you've got complete freedom over what you do, say and how you design the pages.

You've got a CHOICE with the ads:

1) Same ads on each site. (Easiest)
2) Slightly different ads on each site. (More work)
3) Completely different ads on each site. (A lot of work...)

3) will be the best but will take more time...

*** QUESTIONS TO YOU!

• How are you going to interlink the pages? How are you going to interlink the sites?
• Will EVERY site get traffic? If not - is it worth making unique ads for each page?

** RECAP on pages to create: index.html - main.html - fpa.html - 01.html up to 10.html (pic pages).

*** Create the html pages in one of your sub-folders and leave the areas where your text or ads (in some cases) will go BLANK.

*** main.html will contain 10 thumbnail images SOMEWHERE on the page. These will link to the pic pages.

*** The links to the picture pages will be the SAME on the main pages. They'll link to 01.html through 10.html

This stage is all about design, and getting the basic skeleton right. When you're DONE, copy the template to each of your 100 sub-folders.

STEP 5) GET THE PICS WORKING

Now it's time to do some more work. To get the pics working you need to:

1) Alter the thumbnail images.
2) Alter the picture pages.

This will be a case of opening main.html on each site and adding in 22.jpg as the thumb up to 32.jpg - or whatever sequence you want to add in. Then, open 01.html through 10.html for that site (AT THE SAME TIME!) and make sure each page has the corresponding pic on there.

*** Test EVERY link to every pics locally when done. This STEP is the hardest.

STEP 6) TEXT AND SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION

Again, you have choices here.

1) Just the index page.
2) Index and main page optimization.
3) Index, main, fpa.
4) All pages, with the emphasis and most time spend on the early ones.

4) Will be, by far the most rewarding, but will take a lot of hard work. Add in titles, H1 tags, good body text, and anything else that you've learnt and picked up on. Refer to your SE notes and make each site appealing to 'general' search engines.

STEP 7) UPLOADING AND CHECKING

Again, check EVERY page once they are up there.

*** FINAL QUESTIONS:

• How do you get these pages into the search engines?
• How could SSI have been used to make adding the ads AND the pics faster?

FINAL THOUGHTS!

So there it is - probably one of the best guides I could give to repetition and getting a good volume of sites out there on the web. Working like this, you can build as many pages as you like, and increase traffic indefinitely. The OVERALL traffic will be worth the building process - even if some sites NEVER see a search engine listing... And remember - 100 sites that are lousy will result in 100 x 0. Make them well! Make sites that will make $$...
